Treat High Uric Acid Naturally with Ayurveda –  Uric Acid is a waste product in the body can deposit in the bones and joints leading to health issues. High uric acid occurs when the body is not able to release out  enough of uric acid or makes more of it.

  1.  Raisins: Eating raisins is considered good for bone density and reduces the risk of arthritis and gout. It can be soaked overnight in water  and drink that water and chew raisins next morning.
  2. Shunthi(Dry ginger ) and turmeric powder: Both should be mixed together with water to form a paste. It can be applied on painful joints.
  3.  Guduchi: This is the main drug of action for uric acid. It reduces the pitta amount. It helps balance pitta and vata dosha and decrease uric acid amount in blood. It also relieves pain and inflammation of the joints.
  4. Giloy :Take some fresh leaves of giloy and stem and soak them overnight. Crush and boil them in the morning in a glass of water until it gets half and then  strain it and drink. You can also use it in other forms like juice, powder or tablets.
  5. Gugul: There are many kinds of Gugul which are combined and several medicines are made from it. In Ayurveda, it is considered a painkiller as it reduces pain, inflammation around the joints and helps in controlling uric acid.
  6. Cinnamon: It is beneficial in neutralizing uric acid levels in the body. One can make a decoction using cinnamon with honey and it can help in reducing uric acid levels in gout patients.
  7. Triphala:   It is a famous ayurvedic remedy that can be used to bring down uric acid.  It is created from three fruits, mainly bibhitaki, amalaka, and haritaki.  And, it works on all three doshas including vata, pitha and kapha. Triphala contains  anti-inflammatory properties that can also reduce pain caused by arthritis.
  8. Punarnava Kadha: It decreases inflammation in joints according to its medicinal properties. When the uric acid is high, there is inflammation in joints which is due to accumulation of fluids and toxins. Punarnava through its medicinal properties removes the toxins through urination. It has some of the best properties to remove fluid. Its regular consumption can reduce the overall inflammation of the joints.
  9. Amla: It can be used to fight many illnesses, including gout. One can rely on this ayurvedic food to lower uric acid levels in the body. Vitamin C rich foods are extremely helpful in such situations, which means that you should incorporate guavas, oranges and Indian gooseberry or amla. Amla can easily be included in your diet through amla juice, raw amla or murabba.
